College accommodation
You'll have the unique opportunity to live in a Cambridge College. Each one boasts its own distinctive character and charm. All Colleges provide a warm, welcoming community and the chance to connect with fellow learners from around the world.
College rooms are used by University students during the academic year and are not hotel-standard. Their historic charm means bedrooms do not have air conditioning, but you can look forward to an authentic Cambridge experience.
Accommodation can be booked from 12 July to 8 August. Outside of these dates, alternative options may be available at Madingley Hall or through University Rooms.
Bedroom types
- Single en suite bedroom: a bedroom with bath or shower in the room
- Single shared bathroom bedroom: a bedroom with shared facilities for 4-5 students
- Twin bedroom: a bedroom with two single beds
- Double bedroom: a bedroom with one double bed
All Colleges provide bed linen, pillows, a quilt and a limited number of towels. All rooms also have Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.
You'll need to bring toiletries, travel adaptors and a hairdryer (if required). College laundry facilities are available.
Accommodation fees
The accommodation fee includes your bedroom, breakfast and evening meals, unless otherwise stated. Places in Colleges are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once applications have been accepted.
You can request to stay next to someone you know, or share a twin or double room with a partner, family member or friend.
Accommodation allocation
Colleges try to meet specific room requests and additional requirements, but this may not always be possible. Please note that bedroom sizes may vary considerably.
We are unable to confirm specific bedroom allocations before arrival. Please do not contact the Colleges directly.
Non-residents
You can also join the programme as a non-resident and find your own accommodation in central Cambridge or elsewhere. UniversityRooms offer lots of other options.
