Online course in Britain and the Holocaust: the legacy of the Holocaust in Britain since 1945
Boy with buzz cut

Daniel, a PhD candidate specialising in Holocaust studies, joined the online course Britain and the Holocaust: The Legacy of the Holocaust in Britain since 1945 during lockdown. For him, the course offered both intellectual depth and vital connection at a time when access to academic resources and dialogue was limited.

“I was impressed by the accessible course format, which allowed me to fully focus on the enriching content,” he said.

The course stood out for its high-level teaching and interactive structure. “I really valued the opportunity to interact directly with, and be taught by, leading experts in the field,” he said. “Equally, the discussions with other course members were fascinating and helped the course feel fully interactive.”

Beyond content, it helped Daniel stay meaningfully connected to his area of research during a time of institutional disruption. “It offered new perspectives on the topic and provided a platform for engagement during a period when social and academic interaction was otherwise limited,” he said. “It helped me remain active in my field when many other academic institutions were partially shut down.”
