Biography

I've been teaching on the PACE International Summer Programme now since 2018, and it's absolutely the highlight of my year. I've taught politics, sociology, policing and criminology at undergraduate and postgraduate level, but there's something about the interest and engagement of the international cohort that attends PACE Summer Programme that rekindles my own love of teaching each time.

I have an MA from the University of Cambridge in Social and Political Sciences, and a Masters in Strategic Studies from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Until 2016, I was Deputy Leader of Cambridge City Council, so I can talk with some practical experience about what politics is really like. Now, I teach Criminology and Policing at the University of Lincoln - where I'm currently Acting Head of School - and I do research with the police, so I've got some practical experience there too.
