Biography
Dr Ellen Bell is an Associate Professor in Ecology and Bioinformatics at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Her research background has largely focused on evolutionary ecology, exploring the potential for whole genome duplications as evolutionary catalysts. She is also interested in the pedagogy of data sciences and development of best practice for data sciences teaching. She is a passionate and highly motivated educator who has redeveloped much of the data sciences and statistics teaching at first year undergraduate and master’s levels within the School of Biological Sciences at UEA. She is the Course Director for UEA’s Data Science for Biologists MSc
