Biography
Dr Gabriela Ahmadi-Assalemi is an accomplished senior leader and cyber security professional with 25 years of experience across a wide range of cyber security domains, IT operations and senior leadership roles. Gabriela holds an MSc sand Ph.D. in Cyber Security. She currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer Technology Operations at the University of Cambridge and is also an invited Researcher with Aston University. In addition, Gabriela servers as an advisory group member for the West Midland Cyber Hub (WMCH). Gabriela has contributed to research papers across journal articles and book chapters in high impact publications of international repute and presented her research at international conferences. Gabriela’s research interests focus on anomalous behaviours in cyber-physical systems and disinformation. In her teaching, Gabriela champions a collaborative and coaching approach, fostering engagement and critical thinking among adult learners, and empowering students to actively contribute and develop practical skills through shared experiences. Dr Ahmadi-Assalemi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (MCIIS) and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
