Biography
Until September 2024, Gill was the Academic Director for Coaching at University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) where she was responsible for the delivery of the portfolio of coaching courses. Her key achievement as Academic Director was the successful development and launch of the MSt in Coaching. Having left the full-time employment of the University, Gill now focuses primarily on her independent coaching and supervision work. Gill maintains her relationship with the University of Cambridge through her Associate Fellowship with Homerton College.
Before joining PACE Gill lived and worked in the Philippines for 5 years where she was deeply involved in the world of coaching whilst teaching Human Behaviour in Organisations at the Asian Institute of Management, (AIM) in Manila, Philippines. Prior to going to the Philippines, Gill had her own leadership and coaching consultancy.
Gill is a professionally qualified coach and coach supervisor. Her coaching practice and experience span a range of organization levels, generations and cultures; and with experience of designing and delivering coach training programmes for different purposes within different industry and academic sectors. As a coach Gill draws on a range of approaches, tools and techniques that she aims to use appropriately and always in the service of the client. Her coaching practice is underpinned by various coaching theories and frameworks.
Gill’s private coaching work now focuses on coaching supervision where she offers coaches space, time and support to reflect on deepening their understanding of their coaching practice. Her work with coaches focuses on helping them to become more aware of and sensitive to their intuition and builds on the work of her PhD when she studied the role and development of intuition in the context of the management problem-solving process.
