Biography

As a Research Associate and Hydrologist at the University of Cambridge, I bring a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Liverpool, specializing in Hydrology and Water Engineering, to my teaching role at University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education. My expertise in hydraulic and fluid mechanics, coupled with diverse academic and industrial experiences, enriches my courses in hydrology, environmental engineering, and water resource management as well as Marine Science and Engineering. While my primary research interest focuses on flow modelling through vegetation, I remain open to various aspects of water-related studies. My teaching approach emphasizes experiential learning, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications drawn from both research and industry. I incorporate cutting-edge tools and field trips in my courses, encouraging hands-on learning and class collaboration. This approach bridges the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices, preparing students to address complex water and marine-related challenges in their professional lives. What I find most rewarding is the opportunity to inspire adult learners, leveraging their diverse professional insights to create a rich learning environment that reflects the real-world applications of scientific principles.
