Dr James Grime

Hi, I'm James and I am one of the Tutors on the International Summer Programme.

I'm a mathematician with a special interest in cryptography. Codes! Spies! Secret messages! I love it. And one of my favourite courses to teach during the Summer Programme is my Cryptography course.

When I'm not working with PACE you will find me bringing maths to the public. I'm probably best known for my videos, especially the videos I makes for the YouTube channel ‘Numberphile’. You'll also find me travelling the world giving talks about maths and why it's good.

One of things I love about PACE is getting to know our students. As a Summer Programme Tutor it's really nice to have a group, where we meet every day and learn something new. I enjoy teaching the course and I hope you will too!
