Biography
I am an Associate Professor of Early Modern History, Director of Teaching and Deputy Head of the School of History and Art History at the University of East Anglia. I specialise in Tudor History and have recently been appointed as a University Teaching Fellow. I am currently interested in how Tudor England encountered the world beyond Europe and how it used notions of ‘the other’ to construct its own identity and purpose. I have taught for PACE for many years and love the chance to enthuse people from all over the world about the Tudors.
