Dr Marie Elizabeth Locke

Dr Marie Locke is a General Practitioner and tutor on the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

She has been working in medical education since commencing medical school in 2005. She started by helping to establish the widening participation project, ‘BrightMed’, helping local under privileged students to raise their aspirations and consider medicine as a future career. She has also formed a charity, ‘BrightWAMS in Sussex’, which helps to promote science as an exciting subject to students in junior schools.

Since graduating in 2011, she has formed her own business, M.E. Medical Education Consultancy, which involves working with students and schools across the UK to help prospective medical students with their applications to medical school.

She undertook the PGC in Medical Education in 2013/14 and is honoured to be asked to now work as a Tutor for the course, which has been very influential in her abilities as a medical educator.
