Biography

I am a Director of studies at Magdalene College and Lucy Cavendish College. I am a consultant in management and interpretation of historical resources. I have taught a range of topics in history and anthropology for the University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education since 1989. My research is on the Aztecs, on the Modern history and archaeology of the Fens and on contemporary urbanism in eastern India. My approach is expressed by RS Thomas:
"Stay green.
Nevermind the machine,
whose food is human souls.
Live large, man, and dream small."
