Biography

Tanvi Pate teaches various PACE courses related to International Politics such as International Summer Programme, BRICS and the Global Order, Undergraduate Certificate in International Relations and Diploma in International Relations. She is a Visiting Lecturer in the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies (BUCSIS), University of Buckingham. 

Her primary research interests include critical approaches to international relations and security with a focus on great power-rising power encounters, India and the global order, India's bilateral relations and the politics of Indo-Pacific.

Her research-led teaching encourages students to develop their skills as independent learners. Keen on pedagogical innovation she aims to enhance students' critical engagement with the subject matter through incorporation of visual aids, questionnaires and subject related in-class activities such as case studies, group discussions and role play.

Her belief that knowledge should be accessible to all who wish to acquire it has enabled her to develop a deep commitment to continuing education. Mature learners bring along with them a depth of knowledge whereby they are able to greatly enhance the learning environment.
