Biography
I am a researcher in microbial evolutionary genomics (SEED Fellow) at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, investigating the origins, evolution, and functions of genes in diverse bacteria and viruses. This involves work across various areas of computational biology, with diverse data types.
For PACE I co-lead the module in Infection Genomics for the MSt in Genomic Medicine. I am also available to supervise masters students projects.
Outside of my scientific research I am interested in the relationship between science and religion, and am an Associate of the Faraday Institute of Science and Religion in Cambridge, and a Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR).
