Are you a teacher of creative writing, a writer curious about stepping into teaching, or a member of a workshop group looking to strengthen your critique skills? 

Led by Dr. Lucy Durneen, Teaching Associate on the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Writing at PACE, this 90‑minute workshop will expand your toolkit for both giving and receiving feedback in ways that support, empower, and re‑centre the writer. 

Through guided discussion and practical exercises, you’ll explore approaches that help you respond to others’ work with clarity and care, while also learning how to take in critique without losing confidence or creative direction. 

The session focuses on building a feedback culture that is constructive rather than corrective, collaborative rather than hierarchical, and grounded in respect for each writer’s voice and intentions. You’ll leave with strategies you can use in classrooms, workshop groups, or your own writing practice.
