Biography

Rebecca is a research-led architect who specialises in mass timber design and implementation leading several of Waugh Thistleton Architect’s largest and most complex mass timber buildings, research projects and publications since joining the team in 2015. 

An adept team manager, Rebecca believes collaboration and education is critical to realising low carbon architecture. This, coupled with a desire to promote careers in the built environment to future generations has seen Rebecca undertake various teaching, mentoring and lecturing roles at the University of Liverpool, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and University of Arkansas, amongst others.  

At University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education, Rebecca will form part of the core visiting teaching team from Waugh Thistleton Architects, delivering Module 6 of the MSt Architecture Apprenticeship. This module aims to replicate the ethos and methodology executed by the practice within their own work to create an architecture of sufficiency which is both sustainable and beautiful.
