Biography
Over these past four years, Rebecca has delivered lectures on screenwriting tenets, theory and formatting for the PACE Certification programme, as well as marking students’ final Writing for Performance screenplay submissions. She has also taught film history at the University of Montana. After graduating from film school with a BFA in her early 20s, she worked in film production in Hollywood for nearly two decades in various capacities on a wide variety of project types, including development and production of long and short form narrative projects. In 2020, she completed a creative writing Master of Studies through University of Cambridge. Her lectures are crafted with a combination of lived experience and academic study, delivered with dynamic slide decks for visual aid, but also include a variety of film clips for reference, because ultimately screenwriting is a craft that is intended to become an image-based art form for visual consumption.
