For Jason, education has always been about growth- personally, professionally, and across borders. Born in Hong Kong, raised in Toronto, and now based in Germany while working in Austria, he embodies the global spirit of lifelong learning.

Studying for the MSt in English Language Assessment at University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) was a natural step in advancing his career. He shares how: “The flexibility of the programme allows me to study from anywhere in the world while balancing work and family commitments.”

Initially, Jason was exploring university options for his son, until he realised that he wanted to study at Cambridge himself. “I’ve always been a true believer in continuing education,” he shares. “My older children don’t require as much attention anymore, so I can finally focus on my passion for learning. It’s something I truly enjoy and want to set as an example for them.”

Beyond the academic experience, Jason values the connections he’s made. “Meeting people from different walks of life has been one of the best parts. My cohort has become a trusted network, and we still keep in touch.”

Reflecting on his journey, Jason knows that without continuing education, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
