About apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is a job with training and assessment. As an apprentice, you earn a salary and are part of a team. You learn in your job and in your studies. You get dedicated time during your working hours to complete your apprenticeship. This includes off-the-job training, which is a key part of your development. You gain highly transferable skills and knowledge within a specific occupation. And you finish with an industry-recognised qualification (where applicable), as well as the know-how and confidence to keep progressing in your field.

Information for employers
Apprenticeships enable you to build competitive skills that encourage growth in your organisation and industry. As an employer partnering with us, you’ll benefit from:

- apprentices bringing skills and knowledge they learn with us into your workplace
- improving diversity, inclusion and social mobility
- using apprenticeship levy funds
- claiming 95% of levy from the government pot and topping up with 5% from your own training budget, if you’re a non-levy funded employer
- being potentially eligible for additional funding when employing a young apprentice who meets certain conditions
