Biography

I am a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with extensive experience in identifying, developing, and managing innovation and business growth across multiple sectors. My career spans corporate innovation, venture building, and startup acceleration, all of which provides me with a great view of how to create a new business.

My corporate career was primarily spent at Reuters, the global information group, where I played a pivotal role in developing an innovation management system within the corporate venturing division. This led to his appointment as CEO of an Asian-based Internet trading spin-out in Singapore, which I successfully guided through VC funding and a trade sale.

Following this, I have been deeply involved in the creation, development, and scaling of multiple companies, serving as a non-executive director for several early-stage technology firms. My work spans financial services, education, oil and gas, marketing services, AI and medical technology, reflecting my broad industry expertise.

I feel that I contribute to the development of innovation and marketing, by teaching widely and I have had several books published around these subjects. I am a mentor/coach at both Cambridge Judge and London Business Schools and I am involved in a range of support and incubation programmes. My extensive knowledge of contemporary business frameworks, lean innovation and venture capital informs my work as a startup educator and coach.
