One of our strategic priorities is to develop and promote opportunities to study at the University of Cambridge for a broad range of adult learners. This includes individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds, those who have never experienced higher education before, those studying for personal interest, including into pre- and post-retirement, and those for whom financial circumstances might pose a barrier to study.
The work, life, study balance
We recognise that many adult learners are balancing competing demands on their time and finances. And we have long offered an alternative route to a Cambridge education through its part-time and flexible learning options. Many of our courses, from short one day introductory sessions all the way through to University of Cambridge undergraduate and postgraduate courses, are available through part-time study. This enables learners to maintain personal and professional commitments while pursuing their studies with us.
Help with the financial commitment
We understand that for many potential adult learners, the cost of studying at a leading university like Cambridge can be challenging. To support access to our programmes, we offer a range of financial support options. These include bursaries, concessions, and external funding opportunities, all designed to help reduce or remove financial barriers to learning with us.
