Mr Doug Williamson
Biography
Doug Williamson FCA FCT has an encouraging and supportive teaching style which gives his students the confidence to stay engaged in financial decision-making and the courage to say, "I don't understand", when they don't. Doug believes that many financial problems could have been averted if a decision maker had been brave enough to admit that they didn't understand. This applies equally to commercial and personal finance. For this reason, Doug assumes no prior knowledge or experience when he teaches.

Doug is a highly experienced finance tutor with Cambridge University and the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT). He also has extensive experience in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including KPMG, Virgin Entertainment Group and Abcam plc. Doug is a chartered accountant and corporate treasurer who enjoys distilling his expertise into financial education, executive mentoring and coaching. Doug is also a mentor and trainer for Toastmasters International’s public speaking, communication and leadership programmes. He enjoys helping people to learn and apply their skills in practical and meaningful ways.
