Why study with Cambridge PACE?
All our undergraduate courses are online and part-time, so you can learn in step with your schedule. All you need is time to learn each week (we recommend 15-20 hours a week for most courses), a good internet connection and a device to log in for learning.
It’s not just what you’re learning that counts, but who you’re learning it with, and how. Take an undergraduate course with us and you’ll benefit from:
- academics who are leading experts in their field
- personalised feedback on your work
- class sizes that maximise interaction with tutors and fellow learners
- a dynamic peer-learning community with the chance to form lifelong connections
All our undergraduate courses are Cambridge qualifications that employers and universities recognise. So you can take one and add it to your CV. Or, build your studies after your course. You can either continue with available options at Professional and Continuing Education or transfer credits to carry on learning elsewhere through the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS).
As a student on an undergraduate certificate or diploma, you’ll gain Cambridge alumni status after your course. You’ll benefit from ongoing learning connections and access to:
- our vibrant alumni community
- exclusive benefits
- special events
- course concessions
- career services
- CAM, the Cambridge alumni magazine

Frequently asked questions
Not usually. Most of our undergraduate courses have no formal entry requirements, making them accessible to learners from a wide range of educational and professional backgrounds.
Higher‑level programmes, such as diplomas and advanced diplomas, may ask for some relevant prior knowledge or experience, but you do not need traditional academic qualifications to begin your journey with us.
All teaching is delivered at University of Cambridge undergraduate level, so you should feel ready to engage with academic study – but motivation, curiosity and life experience all count.
We’re committed to making Cambridge undergraduate study as accessible as possible, and offer several forms of financial support including:
- fee concessions for eligible learners, including those receiving certain UK state benefits, University of Cambridge staff and alumni, and those working in schools or further education
- undergraduate bursaries providing tuition‑fee reductions for learners who may face financial barriers (you cannot combine these with other concessions)
- external funding, including government‑supported part‑time student loans for many undergraduate awards, and additional allowances such as Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)

Our application process is designed to be clear and supportive. You apply online through our website, and we welcome learners from a wide range of backgrounds - whether you're new to university‑level study, returning after a break, or progressing your academic journey.
There are no formal entry requirements for many courses, though higher‑level programmes may request relevant experience. If English is not your first language, you may need to provide evidence of language proficiency. Once you receive an offer, you’ll follow the steps to accept your place and secure your enrolment.
If you have questions about choosing a course, meeting requirements, or preparing an application, our enrolment team is here to help.
